The original cabin on the Bartlett Lodge property, the Doctors cabin; built by Dr. William Bell, one of the first leaseholders in Algonquin Park!  The cabin, built in 1898, is one of the oldest buildings in the Park and is the original building at Bartlett Lodge: lovingly restored in 2002, Deil Ma Care is now our showpiece 3 bedroom cottage.  The restoration included saving original boards from the cabin and re-installing them as wainscoting and keeping the original plank floor boards where possible. 

A new addition to the building has pine flooring milled from logs cut over 
100 years ago by J.R. Booth.  The logs were taken from the bottom of 
the Ottawa River and may well have been cut in Algonquin Park.
